Hair transplantation in postoperative or post burn scar
In case of presence scar, formed as a result of a trauma or operation, restoration of a scalp by a method of hair transplantation is possible. Depending on the area of a cicatricial surface, follicles for transplantation can be extracted as from donor occipital area with an excision method, and by an extraction method to separate follicular associations (FOX-procedure). If the donor stock hair, a follicle in occipital area is sufficient, and the area of a cicatricial surface is great, it is more preferable to use a method of excision of a donor rag. In case of a poor donor stock and small sizes of a cicatricial surface, the method of FOX-procedure, i.e. cutting out each separate follicular association and its subsequent transplantation in a cicatricial fabric can be used. In both cases, the cosmetic effect of similar operations speaks for itself. Besides in our clinic we have to collide with consequences of nonprofessional work of other transplantologists and to correct wide scars and deprived scalp in the occipital part, left after change of hair with unsatisfactory cosmetic result.
